Terms / EULA
Last updated: 26 August 2026.
These terms apply to Jira Release Notes Lite, a Jira Cloud Forge app provided by independent developer Luca Palonca. They describe the license and conditions for using the app. They are product terms, not legal advice.
1. Scope and license
The app reads Jira Cloud data that the signed-in user is authorized to access and generates editable Markdown release-note drafts. It is designed for read-only Jira access and does not create, update, or delete Jira issues, versions, projects, comments, or other Jira data.
Subject to these terms and any applicable Atlassian Marketplace terms, Luca grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app for your own or your organization’s internal business purposes. You may edit, copy, download, and share Markdown produced by the app, provided you have the necessary rights and approvals for the underlying content.
2. Acceptable use
You must use the app lawfully and in accordance with Atlassian’s terms and your organization’s policies. Do not use it to access Jira data without authorization, interfere with the app or its dependencies, bypass applicable limits or access controls, or submit content that you are not entitled to process or share.
3. Your responsibility and review
You are responsible for your Jira permissions, selected projects, JQL or versions, source content, organizational approvals, and how you use or share the output. The generated Markdown is an editable draft: it may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your audience. Review and edit every result before relying on it or distributing it. The app is not a publishing, scheduling, backup, or release-history service.
4. Optional AI processing
AI is optional and is used only when you explicitly select an AI-assisted mode. When selected, the app may send the applicable structured Jira content to OpenAI for rewriting. Customer AI excludes issue descriptions and caller-supplied Markdown and sends only structured issue keys, summaries, and grouping fields; a separately confirmed technical mode may include issue descriptions. OpenAI processing is subject to the applicable OpenAI terms and privacy documentation. AI output requires human review, and no accuracy or suitability is promised. See AI and data processing and Privacy for details.
5. Third-party dependencies and availability
The app depends on Atlassian Jira Cloud, Forge, and, when AI is selected, OpenAI. Their availability, functionality, limits, terms, and policies are controlled by those providers and may affect the app. Luca may change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue parts of the app, including AI features, and may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use after an updated version is published indicates acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
6. Intellectual property
Luca retains all rights in the app, its software, branding, and documentation that are not granted in these terms. You retain the rights you have in your Jira data and other content you provide. These terms do not transfer ownership of either party’s intellectual property.
7. Disclaimers and liability limits
To the extent permitted by law, the app and its output are provided on an “as available” basis, without a promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose. Luca does not control Jira Cloud or OpenAI and is not responsible for their services or policies.
To the extent permitted by law, Luca will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar losses, or for losses arising from unauthorized access, inaccurate or incomplete output, or your decisions about Jira content or generated Markdown. Nothing in these terms limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
8. Termination
You may stop using and uninstall the app at any time. Luca or Atlassian may suspend or terminate access where permitted by applicable terms, including for misuse, security concerns, or a dependency becoming unavailable. On termination, your license to use the app ends; provisions that by their nature should continue, including responsibility, intellectual property, and limitations, continue to the extent permitted by law.
9. Support and contact
For support, product questions, or concerns, contact info@lucapalonca.com. Support information is available on the Support page. No separate service level is promised by these terms.
