Sailogy aims to make sailing holidays accessible to everyone. Customers all over the world can choose from a wide selection of sailing yachts, motor yachts, catamarans and gulets all rentable with or without experienced skippers and hostesses.

My Role in Sailogy

As a Backend Engineer at Sailogy, I played a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the company’s platform. My responsibilities encompassed a wide range of tasks, from designing and implementing backend systems to optimizing performance and resolving technical issues. I embraced the dynamic environment of a rapidly growing startup, consistently delivering high-quality work and contributing to the company’s success.

This broad knowledge base allowed me to effectively handle complex technical challenges and collaborate seamlessly with other engineers and stakeholders.

  1. Enhanced System Reliability: I achieved 97% test coverage on business logic by adding 100+ unit tests, significantly boosting system stability and reducing the occurrence of bugs.

  2. Improved Team Productivity and Collaboration: I spearheaded a cross-functional training program for the development team, incorporating continuous learning and knowledge sharing practices. This initiative resulted in a 15% increase in overall team productivity and collaboration.
